More Brands = More Choices for You
When shopping for a new bike, you may find that many shops have dedicated themselves to selling one brand. You may even find that a bicycle manufacturer has purchased an existing shop and is selling only their own name brand. At Pro Cyclery we believe that you should be able to look at and compare offerings from several brands and choose the bike that is exactly right for you.
Ready to Get Your Bike in the Best Possible Condition
Our mechanic shop is fully staffed and ready to take care of you and your bike. In most cases, if we don't have to order and wait for parts, we can get your bike back to you in one to two days. As the weather gets warmer, expect that the shop will get busier and wait times may increase. So, get your bike in now so it's in prime condition for riding season! We work on a first-come, first-served basis, so get your bike in for service and we'll have it back to you as soon as possible. In addition to bike repairs, we also offer mountain bike suspension fork repair and can build you the wheel of your dreams!
Update on Store Operations and the Cycling Industry
Pro Cyclery has been open throughout the Covid shutdown - for several weeks as curbside and now fully open for shopping. We follow the CDC mandate for wearing masks, we will not ask your vaccination status. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please do so. We also ask that you are patient and understand that our inventory is changing rapidly. Right now, we have more inventory than we have had since March of 2020; however, we have been told that the shortage of bikes is going to happen again as the supply chain is broken at several levels. Suppliers have already cancelled many bikes for 2022 and are telling us to expect 2023 as the year to get closer to normal. We are already seeing several of our suppliers cancelling bikes from our pre-orders and some of our most popular bikes are now being dated as deliverable in March of 2023. If there is a bike you want and we currently have it, now is the time to buy. Of course, we will always do our best and work closely with our suppliers to try to get you your dream bike as soon as possible.
We have a good supply of e-bikes, entry level road and mountain bikes along with high-performance bikes from Cervelo, Yeti and Intense. We continue to work to supply the bikes our customers want, but we can only offer what our manufacturers have available.
Right now our repair shop is caught up with demand and you can expect to leave your bike for only one or two days if it doesn't need parts. The industry is experiencing a shortage of many parts, tires, and tubes, so we again ask for your patience as we wait for parts if needed.
On the industry side of things, we are seeing more and more mom-and-pop stores being purchased by the "big three" bike manufacturers. We have to wait and see what affect this has on smaller, family-owned shops. We do know that, right now, the shops that are being purchased by manufacturers are then selling only the brand of the manufacturer. Pro Cyclery remains a mom-and-pop (more like grandmom and grandpop) shop and we continue to believe that customers should have choices when shopping, so we carry multiple brands. We want to get you on the right bike for the kind of riding you want to do and what you want to accomplish.
Another industry change is that more manufacturers are going Direct to Consumer - meaning you can choose your bike on-line, purchase it on-line, and have it delivered to your home with instructions on how to finish putting the bike together. Of course, at first glance it seems that this will be a huge negative for individually-owned bike shops. It remains to be seen if consumers are comfortable buying site unseen, finishing assembly, have no fitting on the bike (or paying separately for a fitting) and then dealing with returning the bike if it is not as expected. Again, we will wait and see how this affects local shops which we continue to provide excellent service to everyone who comes into our shop.
Ride One and See For Yourself
"That's cheating!" "I want to exercise!" "I don't need the help" Those are some of the statements we hear from customers - BEFORE they take an e-bike out for a test ride. When riding an e-bike you still have to pedal, you still get your heart rate up, and on an E mountain bike you still have to master the trail, the obstacles, the jumps and the sharp turns. E-bikes have several levels of assist, so you can choose the amount of assistance you want. They are perfect for people who ride at different levels, but still want to ride together! We have mountain, leisure and adventure e-bikes so come in and try one today!
We currently have a full stock of e-bikes from comfort/adventure bikes to full-suspension mountain bikes.

See Another Side Of Las Vegas
Due to the pandemic and subsequent loss of visitors to Las Vegas, we made the decision to sell our road bike fleet. We will replace the fleet when road bikes become more available, but until then, we do not have road bikes for rent. If, however, you are looking for a bike more suited to transportation and shorter relaxed rides, we have hybrid bikes for rent.
Whether you need a simple tune-up or a complete overhaul, keep your bike rolling with the help of our professionally trained bike mechanics.
