Tune Up: Adjustments of F-R derailleur, shifters, brakes, truing of wheels, adjustments of all bearings and basic cleaning. All parts are extra.
Drive Train Overhaul: Same as tune up. Plus we detail the entire bicycle. This service includes derailleur cables. This is a spa day for your bike.
Complete Overhaul: We strip the entire bike down to the bare frame. We remove every bearing and replace them. We tear down derailleurs and overhaul them. We replace every bit of cable and housing. Once we are done the bike is like new. We recommend you replace chain and cogset in this service.
Frame Repair: Pro Cyclery can straighten most bent frames, replace broken dropouts i.e. brazing or silver soldering and replace damaged tubes i.e. top tube, down tube and etc. All paint is primer. If you need extra water bottle mounts no problem. Please note that repairs are on steel only. No aluminum or carbon fiber.
Wheel Build: With a combined wheel building experience of 40 plus years Pro Cyclery is second to know one in quality wheel builds. We cut and roll all of our spokes to an exact length. Which insures that you end up with the proper spoke and nipple interface. Then we tension and stress the wheel repeatedly to insure that the stays straight for many rides.
Fork Overhauls: We overhaul all forks. No parts are included. A one week lead time is required on some forks.
All other services are also offered. In most cases we can complete your service in one to two days. We do take appointments.
Mechanics Courses:
Pro Cyclery offers three different mechanic courses. These courses are designed for the beginner to the advanced.
Mechanics 101: This is a Basic Maintenance class geared towards individuals that are interested in becoming familiar with minor repairs and adjustments on a bicycle. The class consists of four to six students so every person can get hands on practice during the instruction. The class material covers the familiarization of derailleur, brakes, bottom bracket, headset, hubs, and changing flat tires properly and easily. Classes are held once a month Friday evenings starting at 7:30 p.m. The dates are posted at the store or on the web site calendar. The classes are $75.00 per person and are paid up front. If you can not make it to the class that you intended to, you are allowed to attend any class in the future.
